Google gives the Swiss Justice: Street View will be censored

More privacy for Swiss citizens: Google will review all the photographs published concerning Switzerland.

MOUNTAIN VIEW - "Google subjected to final and binding decision of the Swiss court, agreeing also to practice it for the pictures already provided." This was stated in an official note Haspeter Thuer, the Federal Commissioner for Data Protection.

The Colossus of Mountain View has decided to give in to diktats received several weeks ago by the Swiss justice, that the privacy of citizens of Switzerland was strongly put at risk by viewing the service road known as "Google Street View." Google will follow so the decision of the Swiss court, particularly as regards the visibility of faces and license plates.
